Art Assesment Criteria
Part one: Principals of Art
Harmony: Not dashy
Movement: Patterns
Rythm: repeating shape or color
Unity: When all parts equal a whole
Emphasis: Point of interest
Contrast: Big and small, dark and light etc.
Balance: Balancing the colrs, positions, etc.
Form: To make a 2D shape look 3D
Identify 6 of the principals and same as last term

- Study where and when Salvador Dali was born (Spain)
- Who is famous for abstract (Kandinsky)

Give meaning and examples of the following words:
Form: To make a 2D shape look 3D
- Use shadow
- Use perspective
- Show depth
Texture: Different surfaces
- Shiny smooth texture
- rough texture
Positive and Negative spaces
- When you draw a shape, for example, a circle, you create positive and negative space
The inside of circle is negative space, the outside is positive
Colors
Blue violet is a tertiary color
- study the opposite colrs, also the primary, secondary and tertiary colors
Key Words and their meanings
- Contrast: Difference
- Form: As above
- Hue: color
- Monochrome: one color
- Cross hatching: Using overlapping lines to create shade
Identify genres of Art, make sure you have a good idea of how each looks like for you have to draw them out
